[After trekking for miles on end, Sasha had to be carried back to the rendezvous point. When she arrives she's dirty, worn out. The only reason she isn't covered in cuts and bruises is because she had 60 minutes of on and off action with her Juggernaut armor and even then her face is mildly cut and burnt from a flying arrow.
She doesn't go to medical right away, instead showering first, and it's only after that and getting a check up from Hange that she finds her way to their rover.
She's dead on her feet when she collapses face first onto a bed----it's just a shame it isn't hers.]

[She lets out another frustrated scream, more determined to find him than she'd been before.]

tell me where you are!!!

I see...
[Not something she'd hold against him---if anything, she finds his apparent interest in literature interesting, and admirable. You have to sharpen your mind, too, you know. Najasho always lectured to her, when he'd catch her trying to avoid her studies.
Akame swiftly clutches onto the book as he lets go, so she doesn't drop it. She looks at it again, appearing mildly perplexed, but returns her gaze to him, and nods a bit awkwardly.]
Alright, Nic. [She takes the book into her arms, looking off to the side a bit.] I'll let you know what I think of it, and I'll keep it in good condition.

[Put it on his list, huh? Must be getting to be a long one, everything said and done. Still, she's quiet, stands there and lets him go without a fuss. One less problem.
One more problem.]
One more problem.]
[Akame's mouth straightens into a thin line once she notices the state of his fingers.
Of course there was a punchline. If she were just a tad sassier, she'd roll her eyes. Instead, she lets out a tiny, but frustrated and exasperated huff.
Good grief. He's like a child at the best of times.]
So that explains the odd look of your messages.
[#dudeseriously #ridiculousness
Akame squints slightly at him. She's not going to lecture him to high heaven, but gives him a pointed look as she says, in way of goodbye:]
At least have someone apply nanite to your hands. Or get them treated at some point.
[Otherwise, she will track him down all over again and make sure.
Shaking her head a little, she gives him a wave in return and leaves.
The people she puts up with.
And yet, she can't help but enjoy the company.]

[Despite drifting in and out of consciousness as soon as they hit the water, Sasha sleeps for at least an hour before her hand grasps at air, her eyes opening in frantic panic before she realises where she is. Despite herself it's hard to break out of that frenzy from drop point a, where resting was almost impossible for the first two days.
Koleska has chased them down and hunted them as best as they could. It's a miracle they actually made it.
She sinks back into the best when she realises she's somewhere safe now, or as safe as it could get here. Her eyes flicker towards Nic, warmth lighting up her face to see he made it too.]
You're here?
[Well. Duh.]

[in short: yes. in long: especially when in relation to Shouyou Hinata, yes.]
[he very carefully keeps himself from immediately beaming upon victory, because one, it wasn't actually a victory (it was a bit of a victory), and two, Nic probably would just look grumpier (and he was supposed to for the purpose of this visit be kind, for all their tussling made that stick).]
[with a smile that wasn't a beam but did brim with happiness in a manner almost more unbecoming, he nodded vigorously, and swayed up to his feet. half-turned to the exit, stopped, waited.]
It'll go real smoothly! It'll be over before you know it! [quickly signing, as it was more productive than fidgeting:] Let's go! Let's go!

[ they were the only thing he had— at least, the thing he thought that changed things ( it's an illusion, a trick that he didn't see through his own capability yet ). tsuna's surprised enough to not say a word when given the bottle back, fingers following the movement nic makes and tightening on his own at the end, grasp constricting. he wouldn't lose it, it gave him condition to fight for those who couldn't, or shield those that could. not when those people were too precious to lose ( but everyone, in the end, was precious. they were alive ). ]
I won't.
I won't.
[And it's been more than enough time for her to get worried and more than enough time for her to start thinking she needs to be making plans. Enough time for her to start piecing together what she thinks she needs so it's not any surprise she's messaging him.]

We need to talk.
[A couple of minutes later, angry little jabs at the keys]
FROM: tess@cdc.org
You break your fingers again?
[And it's another few minutes before she's halfway through tearing him a new one when she finally considers that it isn't just him being a stubborn asshole, and he almost always answered her when it was important, and damn if this wasn't important-]
