SAY WHAT? Nicolas was born deaf, which means the CDC's lovely little earpiece with its lexicon of language translations is pretty much useless to him. He has the ability to read lips, though, which helps him better communicate with people who are not well-versed in sign language. Unfortunately, the only language he can read is English, with a few samplings of Japanese. Given panfandom's glorious multitude of languages to work with, that causes some problems! If yes, do they have a tendency to talk fast? No. She tends to speak very calmly and quietly, but the speed picks up slightly if she's angry or in the middle of a fight
Anything else to note? She tends to make gestures when speaking, either with her head or with her hands. Her eyes are especially expressive, so he'll be able to tell, at least, what she's feeling at any given moment. She would also be willing to learn signing once she gets to know him.
