YO WHAT ARE YOU SAYING

SAY WHAT?
Nicolas was born deaf, which means the CDC's lovely little earpiece with its lexicon of language translations is pretty much useless to him. He has the ability to read lips, though, which helps him better communicate with people who are not well-versed in sign language. Unfortunately, the only language he can read is English, with a few samplings of Japanese. Given panfandom's glorious multitude of languages to work with, that causes some problems!

It would be greatly appreciated if you could spare a few seconds to fill out a simple form below, just to help me out in our eventual playing. :)

Thanks a lot! ♥

What language do they speak? Maya speaks a (as of yet unnamed) language native to her own home country. She also knows some basic sign language but 1) she's not yet fluent and 2) just like her spoken language, Maya's sign language is native to her own world (so probably useless here).

Do they speak using a mouth/lips that can be read? Yes!

If yes, do they have a tendency to talk fast? Frequently, but not always. I can make an additional effort to point it out in action tags when Maya is beginning to get ramble-y.

Anything else to note? Maya's used to being around people with hearing disabilities (like her pal Steph from her world) so once she knows Nicolas is deaf she shouldn't have too much trouble accommodating for that, asides from needing to be reminded sometimes to slow down if she starts talking too fast...
